The Women’s Horse Industry Association is pleased to announce that Pat Cleveland will speak at the upcoming conference November 3-4, 2009 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Cleveland, who owns Red Leaf Farm in Dohan, Alabama, has been studying horse and riders for years. Her more than eight years of study and research has lead her to some astounding findings.
Using this research, she founded The Balanced Horse, the Straight Forward Horse and Straight Forward Riding systems. These educational systems focused on natural balance and posture that generated true self carriage of the horse. Her philosophy produced horse/rider combinations that were successful in Dressage, Eventing, saddle seat and racing. The Balanced Horse LLC, a mobile Equine Therapy and Consulting service grew to provide support for horse owners in 4 countries. With the growing need for consistent care in a holistic or naturopathic sense, she started a rehabilitation center. Employing the gestural language system of the Straight Forward Horse and Balanced Horse, she has identified a series of bio-mechanical issues that traced back to a primary trauma. In 2009, she closed this private research project and has correlated the findings, researched the facts and documented the data. “With results that are reproducible, protocols that are advancing a holistic approach, I have crossed the boundaries of conventional Medicine and Tradition healing, to enter into the domain of Organic Healing,” she states. Her presentation is entitled “The Balance Horse Project: A study in organic horse rehabilitation.” Read more> http://www.horsesinthesouth.com/article/article_detail.aspx?id=8520
